Geology Goatskin Leather
The earthy surface of this leather resembles tiny mountain ranges and river valleys as seen from high up in the atmosphere. These miniature landscapes are created by shrinking the leather. As part of the tanning process the leather grain is tightened and shrunken until the distinctive textured surface is created. The naturally shrunken skin becomes smaller, giving the craftsmen less material to work with but more importantly the leather still retains its softness. Since shrunken leather is more dense, it is more durable. Irregular surfaces textures and colors within each skin are the sign of naturally shrunken leather. We consider these natural variations while making each piece, imparting its unique character. Made in Japan.
Calfskin is also vegetable tanned and aniline dyed. The grain is very fine and tightly packed allowing it to be durable and soft at the same time. With use it will continue to soften and develop a patina.
Why use leather lining inside the pockets? Your eyes may not see it but your hands do. Pigskin feels great as a lining material and will last much longer than fabric linings.
With use the shine will mellow and surface scratches picked up along the way will get worked in. The color will also deepen. Leather may fade with use and colors may bleed, especially when wet. If your item gets wet gently blot it with a soft dry cloth to prevent staining and rippling. Shade dry. If the surface appears dry, please use a mild cream over the entire leather surface（such as clear Delicate Shoe Cream）to replenish the moisture. Test cream in an inconspicuous place first. Be sure to use only clear cream as any color will rub off. We use a toothbrush to apply cream in order to get it evenly into the nooks and crannies. Oily leather creams, such as mink oil, will leave a stain so we do not recommend using them. Please be aware that applying care cream will darken the leather. Be sure to apply an even coat of care cream to the entire surface, not just in one area, to avoid staining. Do not leave the product in direct sunlight or under strong lights for long periods as it may cause discoloration or fading.

Contents laid out and visible when open
With four large pockets, holds more than 20 cards. Zippered coin pocket shaped in a way that makes retrieving your coins easy.
Original zipper pull
Each original zipper pull is individually carved out of brass. The shape is inspired by the little handle on the lid of a tea kettle. It feels great every time you use it.
Divide your cards, bills, and receipts just the way you like them.
Use to complete
Leather is naturally soft so we never want to overpower the material with a construction that is too heavy. Wallets are made to carry bills and cards, both of which are pretty stiff. We keep our wallets soft so that only when cards are inserted, the wallet feels complete. Often products might look good on the shelf, but when you actually try to use them and fill them with your things, they just feel stiff or clumsy.
Choose a size that fits your needs
The Kettle Zipper Wallet Small is larger and about twice as thick as the Kettle Zipper Wallet Thin. Compact yet holds a lot.
Kettle Zipper Wallet size comparison

・Small: holds more than 20 cards. 12.5 x 10 x 3.5 cm / 4.9 x 3.9 x 1.4".
・Long: holds more than 20 cards with zippered coin pocket. 21 x 10 x 3.5 cm / 8.3 x 3.9 x 1.4".
Three types of leather used— Geology Goatskin, calfskin and pigskin. Leather is vegetable tanned to avoid using the toxic chemicals used in other tanning methods. Will soften and develop a natural sheen, and look better with use.
