Solid Wool
This jacket is made of Merino wool, one of the finest wools. Wear over a sweater as a jacket. Or on its own as a shirt. When it is cold, the fibers trap and insulate air. When it’s warm, they quickly release perspiration from the skin, keeping you at the proper temperature. Comfort in Winter and also in Spring and Fall. Smooth and soft to wear. Hard to believe it is 100% wool.
Renewable wool
Australian merino sheep grow their wool year round, consuming a simple blend of water, air, sunshine, and grass. Every year, these sheep produce a new fleece, making wool a completely renewable fiber that can be removed without harm to the animal. Wool is a natural resource which is both renewable and biodegradable. At the end of the life of each wool garment valuable nutrients are released back into the earth.
Ripple Fabric
Small ripples similar to those in the surface of a lake give depth and softness to this fabric. Created in Japan this is tightly woven cotton and nylon. Cotton for softness. Nylon for durability. This carefully balanced combination means comfort worn anywhere. Extremely fine long staple cotton is needed for this exceptionally tight weave.
Animal Friendly
From sheep raised in the Alps, most in Norway and Switzerland, without abusive practices like mulesing. Our wool insulation is certified by EgoTrace, an independent body in Switzerland. Set up for farms committed to protecting the welfare of their sheep. You can wear this with good conscience.
Zip Up Jacket Organic Corduroy
This jacket is made of 100% organic cotton corduroy fabric made in Japan. The fine-ribbed, moderately lightweight fabric allows for easy layering with sweaters or T-shirts, cold or warm.

Light Denim
This medium weight denim has a natural irregularity in the yarn with a streaky texture that becomes more apparent with use. Like the grain on a piece of driftwood. This fabric is black on black: Most jeans have the threads visible in front dyed dark while in the back the threads are white. These threads are all dyed black for a mellow aging that stays darker than usual. 11oz.
Our Japanese Denim
Woven in the Fukuyama area by a traditional weaver of denim with over 60 years of experience. We love this denim because it is not too heavy or stiff but still ages in the way that makes good denim famous. Fukuyama has a rich history of textiles, dating back to kimonos as well as contemporary workwear.

Weather Cloth
100% cotton Japan made fabric. With repeated washings it will become one of the softest items in your closet. All thickness is created with luxurious tightly woven fibers and layered fabric. This is more difficult to make but results in a garment that will age better. We noticed this is the way 1920s vintage workwear was made and what gave those classic pieces their reliability.
