紙工房で
藤森さんの工房は、大きなキッチンみたいです。楮の皮を剥がしたものが水に浸けてあって、それがすんだものは傷や芽などを取り除くためにテーブルに並べてあります。職人さんたちは、エプロンをして頭にはぼうしを被っています。お鍋でオートミールみたいに原料を煮ています。耳の付いた紙が、鉄板の上のパンケーキのように温められています。荒れた農地をならして、楮の木を育て、その樹皮を繊維にして、すばらしく強い紙に作り上げる…、2000年以上の歴史を持つ紙作りの知恵が、さらなる歴史を生み出そうとしているのです。
ファーマーズフェルトの製法
これらの手漉き和紙には、機械製造の紙よりもずっと長い繊維を使っています。水に浸けられ、簀桁（すけた）と呼ばれる木製の漉き枠と竹製の簀を用い、職人さんの手で繰り返し水にといた原料を組み込みます。簀桁を前後に操作して、巧みに繊維の目を密にしていきます。漉いている作業はこんなに複雑なことが起きているようには見えないのですが。こうした工程によって繊維の隙間が詰まっていって、紙というよりもフェルトに近いものが生まれるのです。余分な水を切るために、和紙のシートは簀桁から取り出されてローラーを手作業で回し、平らに張り付け自然乾燥させます。耳の始末や細かいシワにはツバキの葉を紙になで付けることで、自然で独特なテクスチャーが生まれます。「楮」の樹皮の繊維は和紙の代表的な繊維の中でもいちばん強靭で、ファーマーズフェルトの主材料に用いられています。 持続可能な繊維作物として、1年ごとに収穫が可能です。
環境に優しいファーマーズフェルト
和紙の原料を作る為の楮の幹は、毎年の成長を考慮して収穫されている再生可能な資源です。中性紙使用。無塩素漂白。蛍光増白剤無使用。いかなる染め、染色、製作の工程でも重金属は無使用。二酸化窒素、二酸化硫黄無排出。紙はISO14001認可の施設で製造されています。製造途中で生まれる余剰繊維はリサイクルされます。
阿波紙工房について
藤森家は徳島県北部でただ１戸だけ残った和紙製造業者として、手漉き和紙を90年にわたって作り続けています。その優れた技芸と、8世代にわたる和紙作りの伝統から、阿波紙工房の理事である藤森さんは 経済産業省に表彰されています。ISO14001認可。

ケア方法 Care
ポスタルコのファーマーズフェルトは、紙としては強度を持っていますが丁寧な取り扱いが必要です。自然な風合いを残すためにあえて防水加工はせず、軽い撥水加工がしてあります。もし濡れてしまったら、すぐに乾いた柔らかな布で軽く叩くようにして、すばやく水気を取って下さい。その後、通気のよいところで陰干しして下さい。（空調の下など、温度の変化が激しいところでは歪みが出ることがあります）この和紙は自然な素材なので、表面にシワや凹凸、繊維の混入や色むらが見られることがあります。

All shipments outside Japan include a commercial invoice to avoid delays in customs. We are unable to indicate a lower price for the value of your order listed on your commercial invoice as we must adhere to all international import/export rules and regulations.
Unclaimed packages: The shipper will leave a notice if nobody is available to sign for your package. The shipping agent will hold your package for a few days only. If you do not claim it, it will be returned to us, marked unclaimed. You will be required to pay for shipping twice to have your order sent a 2nd time. There may be some countries we cannot ship to due to courier restrictions.

Gift wrapping is available at a cost of 350 yen per item.
Gift wrapping may be a cloth bag or a paper bag. Wrapping materials used will vary depending on the product type and size. Please note that we are not able to accept requests for specific wrapping materials.
If you would like to have multiple items wrapped together, or if you would like to wrap only some items, please tell us in the memo box. If you do not specify, we will wrap each item individually.
Example of what to write in the memo field:
"Notebook (light blue) and notebook (dark blue) gift-wrapped together, and Bag- gift-wrapped separately. etc. "
Order receipt
If you choose to receive gift wrapping, we will not include an order receipt that shows the price. Please contact us if you would like to receive a receipt by email.

生地に折れ線を入れ、表紙が中身にスムースに沿うようにしています。
徳島の紙作りの匠の手作りで、手触りがよく、使い込むほどに艶が出てきます。ペンを挟んでおくループ付きなので、サッと瞬時にメモをとれます。このループは、表にも裏にも、使えます。A6サイズ105 x 148mmの、本にもカレンダーにもフィットします。
革の代わりに厚みのある和紙を開発できないかと考え、新しいブックカバーを開発しました。
エイジング
手漉き和紙の繊維は、使用するうちにほぐれていき、運ばれてきた内容物にファーマーズフェルトが型押しされ、きめ細かな光沢と風合いが生まれていきます。紙というよりもフェルトのような感覚で、ファーマーズフェルトは誕生しました。ファーマーズフェルトは、同じ厚さの革の半分以下の重さで、植物繊維を交絡させたフェルトです。
持続可能な繊維
楮（こうぞ）樹皮繊維は、和紙の繊維の中でも最も丈夫な繊維で、ファーマーズフェルトの主原料となっています。桑は、毎年再生する持続可能な農作物として栽培されています。
ネストの模様の出方は、二つとして同じものがありません。
これらの紙は印刷されたものではありませんが、2つの別々の繊維の色のプールを慎重に組み合わせて、渦を巻きながら混ざり合い、それぞれのシートに独特の模様を作り出しています。組み合わせた色の繊維は、まるで鳥の巣の内部を丁寧に組み立てたように見えます。巣紙は、一枚一枚丁寧に手磨きされた後、伝統的な方法で、滑らかな椿の葉を使用しています。色の凹凸や表面の質感、厚みなどは、ネストファーマーズフェルト紙の手作り感の一部です。ファーマーズフェルトは紙にしては丈夫ですが、取り扱いには注意が必要です。耐水加工を施しています。
