ファーマーズフェルト
藤森さんの工房は、大きなキッチンみたいです。 楮の皮を剥がしたものが水に浸けてあって、 それがすんだものは傷や芽などを取り除くためにテーブルに並べてあります。 職人さんたちは、エプロンをして頭にはぼうしを被っています。 お鍋でオートミールみたいに原料を煮ています。耳の付いた紙が、 鉄板の上のパンケーキのように温められています。 荒れた農地をならして、楮の木を育て、 その樹皮を繊維にして、すばらしく強い紙に作り上げる…、 2000年以上の歴史を持つ紙作りの知恵が、 さらなる歴史を生み出そうとしているのです。
ファーマーズフェルトの製法
これらの手漉き和紙には、機械製造の紙よりもずっと長い繊維を使っています。 水に浸けられ、簀桁（すけた）と呼ばれる木製の漉き枠と竹製の簀を用い、 職人さんの手で繰り返し水にといた原料を組み込みます。 簀桁を前後に操作して、巧みに繊維の目を密にしていきます。 漉いている作業はこんなに複雑なことが起きているようには見えないのですが。 こうした工程によって繊維の隙間が詰まっていって、紙というよりもフェルトに近いものが生まれるのです。 余分な水を切るために、和紙のシートは簀桁から取り出されてローラーを手作業で回し、平らに張り付け自然乾燥させます。 耳の始末や細かいシワにはツバキの葉を紙になで付けることで、自然で独特なテクスチャーが生まれます。 「楮」の樹皮の繊維は和紙の代表的な繊維の中でもいちばん強靭で、 ファーマーズフェルトの主材料に用いられています。 持続可能な繊維作物として、1年ごとに収穫が可能です。
環境に優しいファーマーズフェルト
和紙の原料を作る為の楮の幹は、毎年の成長を考慮して収穫されている再生可能な資源です。 中性紙使用。無塩素漂白。蛍光増白剤無使用。 いかなる染め、染色、製作の工程でも重金属は無使用。二酸化窒素、二酸化硫黄無排出。 紙はISO14001認可の施設で製造されています。製造途中で生まれる余剰繊維はリサイクルされます。
阿波紙工房について
藤森家は徳島県北部でただ１戸だけ残った和紙製造業者として、手漉き和紙を90年にわたって作り続けています。 その優れた技芸と、8世代にわたる和紙作りの伝統から、阿波紙工房の理事である藤森さんは 経済産業省に表彰されています。ISO14001認可。

ケア方法 Care
ファーマーズフェルト
ポスタルコのファーマーズフェルトは、紙としては強度を持っていますが丁寧な取り扱いが必要です。自然な風合いを残すためにあえて防水加工はせず、軽い撥水加工がしてあります。もし濡れてしまったら、すぐに乾いた柔らかな布で軽く叩くようにして、すばやく水気を取って下さい。 その後、通気のよいところで陰干しして下さい。（空調の下など、温度の変化が激しいところでは歪みが出ることがあります） この和紙は自然な素材なので、表面にシワや凹凸、繊維の混入や色むらが見られることがあります。

We ship worldwide via DHL/EMS. Shipping usually takes 7-10 days from the dispatch date.

Postalco cannot take responsibility for any shipping delays due to customs clearance, payment transaction delays, or any unforeseen circumstances.
Import taxes, duties, and related customs fees may be charged when the parcel arrives at the destination country. The payment of these charges and taxes is the responsibility of recipient and will not be covered by Postalco. Duties & taxes are set by the customs authorities of the destination country. We estimate the value to be between 25-40% of the amount paid for the item(s) ordered. The shipper will contact you directly requesting payment upon your order's arrival through customs.
All shipments outside Japan include a commercial invoice to avoid delays in customs. We are unable to indicate a lower price for the value of your order listed on your commercial invoice as we must adhere to all international import/export rules and regulations.
Unclaimed packages: The shipper will leave a notice if nobody is available to sign for your package. The shipping agent will hold your package for a few days only. If you do not claim it, it will be returned to us, marked unclaimed. You will be required to pay for shipping twice to have your order sent a 2nd time. There may be some countries we cannot ship to due to courier restrictions.

We offer free gift wrapping. Please select the gift wrapping option on the product details page. If you would like us to gift wrap multiple items together or to gift wrap only part of your order, please explain in the remarks box. The wrapping paper used will be based on availability and size of the product. Please note that it is not possible to select the type and size of the wrapping paper.
Message Card
Complimentary card included for purchases 5,000 yen (excluding tax) or higher. One card per item over 5000 yen. Please choose one of the cards labeled "A", "B", or "C" and write it in the remarks field below. One gift card can be attached to each gift-wrapped item.

現金、カード、小銭を収められるように３つのポケットがあります。
クレジットカードを入れるポケットはカードをすっきりと収納できるだけでなく、縦に入れられるので、見やすく取り出しやすくなっています。約15枚収納可能。
一番手前のスナップ付きポケットは、コインが収納できます。
スナップ付きで、中からコインがこぼれ落ちないから安心。
お札の他にもパスポートや通帳も入れられます。
薄型であればスマートフォンも収まります。
フラップは本体に沿って縫われているので、折り返すと邪魔になりません。
経年変化に対応しています。
手漉き和紙の繊維は、使用するうちにほぐれていき、運ばれてきた内容物にファーマーズフェルトが型押しされ、きめ細かな光沢と風合いが生まれていきます。
持続可能な繊維
楮（こうぞ）樹皮繊維は、和紙の繊維の中でも最も丈夫な繊維で、ファーマーズフェルトの主原料となっています。桑は、毎年再生する持続可能な農作物として栽培されています。
